Floating
We've created a guide to frequently asked questions to help you prepare for your first float session.
While we are sure that flotting will be remembered as a unique and relaxing experience, any new adventure can initially cause anxiety due to the unknown. It is important to remember that self-growth occurs through engaging in new physical, emotional, or spiritual experiences.
Absolutely nothing! Allow your body to reach complete relaxation, thus giving you the opportunity to explore your mind. If at the beginning of floating you feel that you are having difficulty relaxing your tense body, do a few light stretching movements. This usually allows you to reach a more comfortable position. Choose a body position that is most comfortable for you.
Often our minds are too active for us to be able to fully relax. Many people face this challenge when floating for the first time. In such cases, it is worth remembering - the longer you spend in the floating capsule, the more comfortable and natural it will feel.
It should also be remembered that floating sessions can vary. Although our bodies will always be relaxed during floating therapy, our minds can create both active and passive floating experiences.
Despite the seemingly long session, the sense of time often disappears during a floating capsule. This is explained by the creative state of the brain achieved during floating.
After their first session, visitors often say that flouting causes unprecedented, difficult-to-describe feelings. Although each of us is different and will experience different feelings, most often flouting is described as an experience that provides a deep sense of peace, relaxation, as well as increased concentration and creativity.
The floating capsule is designed so that no external stimuli affect thoughts and feelings. Thanks to the saturation of Epsom salt in the water, the body is able to enjoy a gravity-free environment and completely relax. What feelings will be experienced depends on each person's mind and thoughts.
Typically, it takes about 20 to 30 minutes for complete muscle relaxation during the first visit. However, with repeated floatation, this time can be shortened, as the skill of relaxation is trained.
Epsom salt is a magnesium-rich mineral, along with sulfur and oxygen. This naturally occurring substance has been used for centuries to improve sleep, relieve pain, and relieve cramps.
The magnesium in Epsom salt has natural antibacterial properties that help improve skin condition. It is the only salt that does not dry out the skin, while softening and promoting its elasticity.
In cosmetology, Epsom salt is used to prevent acne, reduce swelling and puffiness, eliminate toxins, strengthen connective tissue, and synthesize collagen.
Magnesium in Epsom salt is an essential element for human well-being, required for over 300 biochemical reactions in the body. It helps maintain normal nerve and muscle function, a healthy immune system, and a steady heartbeat. It is also essential for regulating blood glucose levels, as well as for energy and protein production.
No, there are no known negative side effects of flouting. On the contrary, flouting has been shown to have several positive effects.
The most important benefits of a floating session are:
* Deep body relaxation;
* Stress reduction;
* Improved nervous system function and sleep;
* Improving athletic performance;
* Body detox;
* Promoting a sense of happiness;
* Floating for meditation;
* Promoting creativity.
It should be noted that each of us is different. Therefore, flotting will provide different physical and mental benefits for each person.
Studies have shown that many of the positive benefits of floating (improved sleep, stress reduction, etc.) last for months. In the long term, floating can reduce stress, depression, and acute pain. Significant improvements in optimism, self-confidence, and sleep quality have also been observed after regular floating sessions.
Although regular visitors choose to float 2 to 4 times a month, each client finds the most comfortable routine for themselves, in which the positive effects of floating help improve the quality of life in the long term.
Flossing has the potential to relieve various types of pain. A 2014 study confirmed that flossing significantly reduces acute pain.
Another study found that it reduces muscle soreness. Floating reduces lactate in muscles, accelerates muscle recovery, promotes blood circulation, stimulates the release of endorphins, and promotes healthy sleep.
All of these factors can help reduce pain not only during therapy but also after it.
As with other relaxation techniques, each of us has our own best time to float. Floating provides equal benefits regardless of the time of day. We recommend evaluating your daily rhythm and going floating at the time of day that feels most suitable for you.
Please note that although the flotation lasts an hour, the visit is scheduled for 1 hour and 30 minutes. This time reserve is for showering before and after the flotation.
Floaty salon is equipped with a separate room where you can clean up, dry your hair, and go about your day.
Many first-time visitors choose to flout in the evening, thus providing themselves with time when they do not have to worry about daily chores. Remember that flouting is intended for relaxation. Therefore, even on days when you are feeling the most stressed, flouting can provide exactly what you need most.
Thanks to various hygiene methods and salt water, the floating capsule is free from viruses and bacteria.
Before each new client, the capsule water is filtered three times with a UV light and 10 micron element-tight filter. This system allows the water to be purified from any dirt smaller than ¼ of the diameter of a hair, as well as from any microorganisms.
Also, to ensure the purity of the water, hydrogen peroxide is added in small quantities. Thanks to the salt water, the amount of these substances required is minimal.
Such disinfection systems allow for complete water purification to maintain maximum water hygiene. Taking care of surface hygiene, they are also regularly cleaned with disinfectants.
The simplest answer would be - yes, falling asleep while floating is possible, although it happens much less often than it might seem.
Human brain waves tend to naturally decrease to theta wave frequency when floating. This brain state is usually experienced only moments before falling asleep and after waking up, so it is easy to confuse it with a state of deep sleep. In this state, the sense of space and time is lost and it is difficult to distinguish between waking and dreaming.
However, if you consciously let yourself fall asleep, you will enter a deep state of sleep. Even then, floating provides several physical benefits. It is a great way to combat the effects of sleep deprivation and improve its quality.
While flooing as a couple can be a unique experience, we recommend going to therapy alone. This reduces the chance that touching or other movements will prevent you from fully relaxing and exploring your mind.
We offer discounts for parallel floating sessions, during which two people can float at the same time - each in their own capsule.
It is not recommended to go for a swim with freshly shaved body parts or with large wounds. Since the capsule water is salty, it can irritate damaged skin. Therefore, it is advisable to go for a swim no earlier than 24 hours after shaving.
If you have minor wounds, you can take care of them before flossing by applying a product specifically designed for this purpose.
The greatest benefit from floating will be if you take care of your body's well-being before the session. Therefore, it is recommended to have a light meal about two hours before floating. We also recommend that you drink enough water during the day, but not immediately before the session.
If you feel like drinking coffee before a session, we recommend that you consider the purpose of your float trip. Remember that caffeine is a stimulant that activates the central nervous system. Therefore, drinking coffee before a session will only be appropriate for those who float with the intention of finding solutions in their thoughts.
Most people choose to float naked. This is explained by the very nature of float therapy - an environment without external stimuli. Since swimwear touches the skin, it forces our minds to turn away from the float experience itself. Therefore, we recommend enjoying float therapy naked.
Remember that flouting takes place in a private room with a shower. However, if you feel more comfortable in your swimsuit, you can safely flout in it.
Showering before floating is essential to cleanse the body and ensure a high level of hygiene during floating. It will also ensure more efficient operation of the capsule filtration systems.
It is forbidden to use conditioner in the shower before floating. It can be used in the shower after floating. After floating, it is necessary to rinse the salt from the body and hair.
Yes, just like the rest of your body, your face should be clean of any products. This way, you will ensure a pleasant and clean floatation experience for yourself and other visitors.
Yes, salt water can irritate your eyes when it comes into contact with them. Therefore, it is necessary to avoid rubbing your eyes and excessive movement in the capsule.
In case water gets into the eyes, it can be easily rinsed with fresh water using a bottle placed right next to the floating capsule.
If you wear contact lenses every day, they can be safely left in.
No, Epsom salt has long been widely used in the beauty industry in various hair care treatments. It helps cleanse hair of excess oils, thus making it more voluminous and soft. It also improves the condition of the scalp and strengthens the hair roots. However, it should be noted that in some cases, bathing in water saturated with Epsom salt can affect its appearance.
While Epsom salt can improve the appearance of dry and damaged hair, it can react with the pigment in the hair, thereby bleaching color-treated hair. Therefore, it is recommended to avoid floating as long as the color continues to wash out of freshly colored hair. In case of perms or keratin treatments, it is recommended to wear a tight-fitting swimming cap to avoid the effects of the salt.
Like the lid of a floating capsule, the light inside the capsule is easily controlled. To get the most out of floating, we recommend floating without the light and with the lid closed, thus providing an environment that does not stimulate the senses.
However, if you want to enjoy floating with lights, our capsules are equipped with lighting systems that provide beautiful and soothing light animations. They can be turned on and off with a button inside the capsule.
The floating session lasts an hour. To keep you informed about the session, relaxing music will be played in the capsule for 5 minutes at the beginning and end.
Yes, pregnancy can be a great time to float. Many expectant mothers have found significant relief from the stresses of pregnancy. Floating in a weightless state in Epsom salt-infused water can help relieve physical pressure on the back and other parts of the body, while also enriching and softening the skin and reducing cramps. Many pregnant women have also found that floating allows them to form a special connection with their body and baby, finding inner peace.
Since every pregnancy is unique, we recommend that you consult your doctor before using floaters. When you see your doctor, please provide the following information:
* Floatation takes place for about an hour in 35-degree warm water;
* The water is saturated with the highest quality magnesium sulfate or Epsom salt;
* The capsule water enters the filter system circulation three times before each next customer;
* Water is purified using a UV filter and a filter with a 10 micron permeability;
* Hydrogen peroxide is used in small quantities in the flotation capsule;
* All surfaces are disinfected between sessions;
* The floating capsule is equipped with passive air circulation.
Yes, floating during menstruation can help relieve cramps and promote muscle relaxation, reducing pain. However, to ensure a pleasant experience for both you and other visitors, we encourage you to follow strict hygiene practices, just like when going to the pool.
No, for your safety and health, our salon does not allow visitors to go for procedures under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Please note that it is advisable to avoid alcohol and drug use the day before floating. This is important so that you can relax better and get a more valuable floating experience.
Always remember that you have full control over the floating capsule lid, which you can open at any time if necessary by giving it a gentle push upwards.
Also, if there is a need for staff assistance, there is an alarm button inside the capsule.
If you feel more comfortable doing so, there is the option of floating in a fully or partially open capsule. In such cases, please be aware that the controlled floating environment will become variable, reducing the ability to experience/feel the conditions without internal and external stimuli.
Neck muscles can hurt when floating if they have been tense during the session. This situation can occur if we sit in a body position that requires additional effort from the neck muscles (at the computer, looking at the phone, etc.). As a result of this unnatural tension, it is difficult to completely relax the neck muscles.
When floating, remember that dense water can support your entire body, including your head. Therefore, you should try to relax it as well. The easiest way to relax your head is to submerge it until your ears are under water. If this method doesn't help, try a different position.
Most often, visitors feel more comfortable flaunting their arms at their sides or above their heads.
