Floatation

If you've never floated and are not sure what to expect, then we have some good news for you – we have created a guide regarding the frequently asked questions to help you prepare for your first floating session.

While we are sure that floating will be remembered as a unique and relaxing experience, any new adventure can cause anxiety in the beginning. It must be remembered that personal growth takes place through new physical, emotional or spiritual experiences. If you haven't tried floating before, it will definitely be worth it!

Absolutely nothing! Allow your body to achieve complete relaxation, thus allowing you to explore your mind. If at the beginning of the floating session you feel that you have difficulty relaxing the tension in your body, do a few light stretching movements. This usually allows you to reach a more comfortable position. Choose the body position that is most comfortable for you.

Often our minds are too active for us to fully relax. When floating for the first time, many people face this challenge. In such cases, it is worth remembering: the longer you spend in a floating capsule, the more comfortable and natural it will seem.

It should also be noted that our individual impressions of floating may vary. Although our body will always be relaxed during floating therapy, our mind can create both active and passive floating experiences.

Despite the seemingly long session, the feeling of time often disappears in the floating capsule. This is due to the fact that a creative state of the brain is entered during the floating session.

After the first session visitors often say that floating causes unprecedented feelings that are difficult to describe. Although each of us is different and will experience different feelings, most often floating is described as an experience that provides a deep sense of peace, relaxation, and increased ability to concentrate and be creative.

The floating capsule is designed so that no external stimuli can affect thoughts and feelings. Thanks to the saturation of Epsom salt in the water, your body is able to enjoy the environment without gravity and fully relax. The feelings you will experience depend on your own mind and thoughts.

It usually takes about 20 to 30 minutes for complete muscle relaxation to set in on the first visit. However, by repeatedly floating, it is possible to shorten this time, because the ability to relax is trained.

Epsom salt is a magnesium-rich mineral that has additional sulphur and oxygen. This naturally occurring substance has been used for centuries to improve sleep, reduce pain and cramps.

The magnesium in Epsom salt has natural antibacterial properties that help improve the condition of the skin. It is the only salt that does not dry out the skin, while softening and promoting its elasticity.

In cosmetology, Epsom salt is used to prevent acne, reduce swelling, remove toxins, strengthen connective tissue and improve collagen synthesis.

Magnesium Epsom salt is an essential element of human well-being, which is necessary for more than 300 biochemical reactions in the body. It helps maintain normal nerve and muscle function, a healthy immune system and a regular heartbeat. It is also important for regulating blood glucose levels, as well as for the production of energy and protein.

No, floating has no known negative side effects. On the contrary, floating has been shown to have a number of positive effects.

The most important benefits of a floating session are:

* Complete relaxation of the body;

* Stress reduction;

* IImproved nervous system function and sleep;

* Improving athletic performance;

* Detox of the body;

* Promoting a sense of happiness;

* Floating for meditation;

* Promoting creativity.

It must be kept in mind that each of us is different. Consequently, everyone’s floating will provide different physical and mental benefits.

Studies have shown that several positive benefits of floating (improved sleep, stress reduction, etc.) last for several months. In the long run, floating can reduce stress, depression and acute pain. After attending regular floating sessions, significant improvements in optimism, self-confidence and quality of sleep on a daily basis have also been observed.

Although regular visitors choose to float 2 to 4 times a month, each client finds the most comfortable routine in which the positive effects of floating help to improve their quality of life in the long run.

Floating has the potential to relieve various types of pain. A 2014 study confirmed that floating significantly reduces acute pain.

Another study found that it reduced muscle pain. floating reduces lactate in the muscles, accelerates their regeneration, promotes blood circulation, stimulates the release of endorphins and healthy sleep.

All of these factors can help relieve pain not only during but also after treatment.

As with other relaxation techniques, each of us has our own best time when swimming. Flotation provides equivalent benefits regardless of the time of day. We recommend that you evaluate your daily rhythm and go swimming during the time of the day that seems most suitable for you.

Please note that although the floating session lasts for an hour, the visit takes 1 hour and 30 minutes. This extra time is intended for showering before and after floating.

The floating room is equipped with a hairdryer and a mirror, where you can get ready and go on with the day.

Many first-time visitors choose to float in the evening, thus providing themselves with time when they do not have to worry about daily chores. It should be remembered that floating is intended for relaxation. So even on the days when you feel the most stress, floating can provide exactly what you need the most.

Thanks to various hygiene measures and the salt water, the floating capsule is free of viruses and bacteria.

Before each subsequent client, the capsule’s water is filtered twice using a UV light and a 10 micron impermeability filter. Such a system allows the water to be cleaned of any dirt that is even smaller than ¼ of the diameter of a hair, as well as from any microorganisms.

Also, chlorine and hydrogen peroxide are added in small amounts to keep the water clean. Thanks to the salt water, the amount of these substances required is minimal.

Such disinfection systems allow to ensure full water purification for maximum water hygiene. Surface hygiene is also regularly ensured using disinfectants. Therefore, you can be sure that the floating capsule is sterile before each client enters.

The simplest answer would be – yes, falling asleep during floating is possible, although it happens much less often than it might seem.

Human brain waves tend to naturally decrease to the frequency of theta waves due to floatation. We usually experience this condition of the brain only a moment before falling asleep and after waking up, so it is easy to confuse it with a state of complete sleep. In this state, the sense of space and time is lost and it is difficult to distinguish still being awake from a dream.

However, if you consciously fall asleep, you will fall into a deep state of sleep. In this case, too, floating provides several physical benefits. This is a great way to combat the effects of sleep deprivation and improve its quality.

Although flotation for two can be a unique experience, we recommend going to this session alone. This reduces the chance that touches or other movements will not allow you to fully relax and explore your mind.

We offer discounts for a parallel flouting session, during which two people can flout at the same time - each in their own capsule.

It would not be advisable to go floating with any freshly shaved body parts or any open wounds. Because the water in the capsules is salty, it can irritate damaged skin. Therefore, it is recommended to not go floating any earlier than 24 hours after shaving.

In case you have small wounds, you will be able to take care of them before the session by applying a special product.

The biggest benefit of floating will be if you take care of your body’s well-being before the session. Therefore, it is recommended to have a light meal about two hours before coming. We also encourage you to consume enough water during the day, but not just before the session.

If you want to drink coffee before the session, we recommend that you consider the purpose for which you go floating. It must be highlighted that caffeine is a stimulant that activates the central nervous system. Therefore, drinking coffee before the session will be suitable only for those who go floating with the intention of finding solutions in their minds.

Most people choose to float naked. This can be explained by the essence of floating therapy – it is an environment without external stimuli. As swimwear touches the skin, it makes our mind turn away from the experience of floating. Therefore, we recommend enjoying floating therapy naked.

It should be noted that floating takes place in a private room with a shower. However, if you feel more comfortable in swimwear, you can safely float in it too.

A shower before floating is essential to cleanse your body and provide you with a high level of hygiene during floating. It will also make the capsule filtration systems work more efficiently.

It is forbidden to use hair conditioners in the shower before floating. You can use it in the shower after your session. After floating, you need to rinse the salt from your body and hair for your own well-being during the rest of your day.

Yes, like the rest of your body, your face must be completely clean too. That is how you can provide yourself and other visitors with a pleasant and clean floating experience.

Yes, salt water irritates the eyes. Therefore, it is necessary to avoid rubbing your eyes and any unnecessary movements in the capsule.

In case of water getting into your eyes, it can be easily rinsed off with fresh water.

If you wear contact lenses on a daily basis, you can safely take them out.

No, Epsom salt has long been widely used in beauty salons for various hair care procedures. It helps to cleanse the hair of excess oils, thus making it more voluminous and a lot softer. It also improves the condition of the scalp and strengthens the roots of your hair. However, it should be noted that in some cases, bathing in water saturated with Epsom salt may affect the appearance of the hair.

Although Epsom salt can improve the appearance of dry and damaged hair, it can react with the pigment in it, thus bleaching colored hair. Therefore, it is recommended not to go floating as long as the color continues to wash out of freshly colored hair. In case of perms or keratin treatments in the hair, it is recommended to wear a tight-fitting bathing cap to avoid the effects of salt.

Just like the door of the floating capsule, the light inside the capsule is easy to control as well. To get the most out of a floating experience, we recommend floating without any light and with the door closed, thus providing an environment that does not stimulate the senses.

However, if you want to enjoy floating with the lights on, our capsules are equipped with lighting systems that provide beautiful and soothing light animations. They can be controlled with a button that is located inside the capsule.

The floating session lasts for an hour. To keep you informed about the progress of the session, relaxing music will sound in the capsule for 5 minutes at the beginning and end.

Yes, pregnancy can be a great time for floating. Many expectant mothers have been able to find significant relief from some side-effects of pregnancy. Weightless floating in water saturated with Epsom salt allows you to remove physical pressure from the back and other parts of the body, while enriching and softening the skin, and reducing cramps. Many pregnant women have also admitted that floating allows them to make a special connection with their body and the baby, while finding inner peace.

As the conditions of each pregnancy are unique, we recommend that you consult a doctor before floating. Give the following information to your doctor:

* Floating takes place for about an hour in 35 degrees warm water;

* The water is saturated with the highest quality magnesium sulphate aka Epsom salt;

* The water that is used in the capsule enters the filter system circulation twice before each subsequent customer;

* Water is purified using a UV filter and a filter with a permeability of 10 microns;

* The floating capsule uses small amounts of hydrogen peroxide;

* All surfaces between sessions are disinfected;

* The floating capsule is equipped so that there is passive air circulation.

Yes, flotation during menstruation can help relieve cramps and promote muscle relaxation by relieving pain. However, to ensure a pleasant experience for you and other visitors we recommend following strict hygiene like when going to the pool.

No, for your safety and health, our salon does not allow visitors to go to procedures under the influence of alcohol or drugs. It should be noted that the day before floating it is desirable to avoid alcohol and drug use. It is important in order for you to be able to relax better and have a more valuable floating experience.

Always remember that you have full control of the floating capsule’s door, which you can open at any time as needed by lightly pushing it up.

Also, if staff assistance is required, there is an alarm button inside the capsule.

If this makes you feel more comfortable, it is possible to float in a fully or partially open capsule. In such cases, we encourage you to be aware that the controlled floating environment will change, reducing the possibility of creating certain feeling/sensing conditions without any internal and external irritations.

The neck muscles can hurt while floating if they have been tense during the session. This situation can occur if we sit in a position that requires extra effort from the neck muscles (at the computer, looking at the phone, etc.) on a daily basis. As a result of this unnatural tension, it is difficult to completely relax the neck muscles.

When floating, it should be remembered that the density of the water is able to hold up the whole body, including the head. Therefore, you must also try to relax. The easiest way to relax your head is to immerse it until your ears are under water. If this method does not help, try another pose.

Most visitors feel more comfortable floating with their hands by their sides or over their heads.
